You have a choice of Open Car Transport or Enclosed Car Transport. What is the difference between Open and Enclosed Auto Transport? Open carrier: An open car carrier is a vehicle carrier that can carry anywhere from 1 to 10 cars at a time. Your vehicle will be exposed to outside elements. Enclosed Car Carrier: An enclosed auto carrier is a fully enclosed trailer that is specifically made for vehicle transport. Your vehicle will not be exposed to outside elements. If I choose the open auto carrier, will driver put a tarp over vehicle to protect it from outside elements? NO. The vehicle will get badly scuffed up from the tarp flapping against it due to the wind.
